In the ceramic tradition, what makes a piece special is the hand of its maker, the executor of choices. With "In Light Of", the opposite is true....light makes unplanned interventions and becomes the artist. Light leaves its mark in the crevasses of the glazes. Light widens slits and slashes.  Light lifts the glazes away from the piece.
